ASRock versu 9600 Pro problem
I have recently got a ASROCK K7VT4A Pro M/Board. Installed it etc. all seemed to be ok. THen I installed the in drivers supplied with the motherboard and the screen went crazy. There were colored bars all over it and it was near impossible to read the screen. The card I was using was an ALL in Wonder Radeon 9600 pro (AGP 8X(256MB)). I then swapped it out with my old Radon 7500 card and it works fine. I didnt know whether this was a voltage issue, but i have checked and the card is the rquired 1.5V.
Obviously I would like to keep the 9600.
Is this a BIOS issue or is it directly related to the board manufacturers drivers, as the screen only went mad during the installation of said drivers. I was just a bout to see that the screen settings were 4 bit and 640 x 480
Why is this happening can anyone enlighten me. It seems a little odd.
It might help to know that the screen looked like some really psychedelic tartan
Thanks
