Hiya,
I'm have a problem with my sound recorder and actually microphone in general. When i go onto settings all the volumes are adjustable apart from the microphone one which is greyed out. I remember there being a topic similar to this and somone said it might be the sound drivers. How would i go about re-installing them and could it cause any damage to my machine or lose info or anything?

Make and model of sound card or make and model of computer?

lol sorry....Im using XP, err the computer is Compaq 5000 series, 5WV280.
Not sure if that helps, i dont know what the sound card is anyway of finding out?
