Thanks to some very nice people- i am about to finally get my wireless working!

Does anyone have any tips befoer i get started with regard to functionality?

i.e. if i have favourites set up on my PC, can i access them via my wireless laptop?

if i open MSN on my wireless connection- will it open on the PC connection?

any common issues? or good tips to know?

the best tip is to set up security use this site to generate a WEP key in hex, use 128 bit if you can (make sure you write down the key you'll need it)

so.... once ive set up the wirless connection, i acces this site generate a WEP key.... and then what do i do with the key!? where do i insert it?

on the wireless router you should have security setting to stop others using your network, if you set the security to WEP and HEX

you have to make a note because every PC/Laptop you want to use the network will be asked for this key

to get to the home page of the router it may be something like 192.168.11.1 type that into your browser
