hey guys ...wonderin if anyone can help me...

i have a compaq presario 900 and lately my screen has started to go crazy. I get random blue lines appearing on the side or on the top causing a 'frame shift'. After this the screen will start flickering, kinda like what u would see when ur in the process of tuning ur television. This lasts for maybe 5 mins or so and then settles down to which shadows start appearing under everything.
Then there will be days when nothing will happen...whats up with that? I called compaq support about a month ago and the believe it might be some sort of powere surge, but i still get the same result regardless of whether i have the daqrn thing plugged into the power supply.

If anyone can help or steer me in the right direction, that'll be great!
