Ahh well i think its pretty serious... but i thought i better post on here before i did anything drastic!!!
I think the temp in the UK today might have had an effect on this one... but i had only had the pc on for 10 minutes and it died...
I tried booting it back up... probably the wrong thing to do straight away... but nothing just a little flicker of light from my led fan and that was it!!!
So i took off the side had a smell... something was burning along the lines (or had) but i couldnt work out what!!!
So i took out the PSU which was my intial thought.... blew into it to remove the 5cm layer of dust... plugged it all back in and tried again and nothing!!!
Checked the RAM... no smells or burnt connections!!!
I just wondered if anyone would have anymore ideas... i dont want to take the PSU out of my families PC to test it... if that blows up i wont hear the end of it lol!
I am debating whether it is the mobo... when i have the PC plugged in the led light at the base of the motherboard still glows... its a ASUS A7V600x!!! AMD athlon 2500+ 1 gig RAM 128mb connect 3d ati 9800 pro graphics!!!
If anyone has any suggestions i would love to hear them!!
Thanks
