    ADSL Modem/router question

Basically I have a broadband connection at home with one computer hooked up. I have a second computer which I would also like to hook up so i can have 2 different computers using the same connection at the same time. What do i need to do this. Do i need a second adsl modem or just a wired router? The two computers would be far away from each other so they couldn't connect to each other etc.
But they're both near phone sockets

    Some help would be appreciated...thanks!

how is your modem connected to your PC with ethernet cable or USB?

if it's ethernet then the get a router to connect to the modem then with another ethernet cable connect to the PC, if the second PC is a distance away you can either still use an ethernet cable or go wireless.

wired is cheaper and easier to set up

has your modem got a ethernet socket, if not it may be easier getting a wireless adsl modem router

it only has 2 sockets, usb and the one which connects to the phone line. could i not just get a second adsl modem for my second pc and connect it to the phone socket too?

I dont think that will work, you're better off by getting a wireless ADSL router/modem
