SCSI hard drives

    SCSI hard drives

    Hi, i have aquired 5x 20g scsi hard drives and i am wondering if there is any way i can use them with my IDE drives, or can i use them as a back up external storage? if so how?

    There are several types of SCSI connectors, so depending on the particular drives, you may need adapters. You can add the drives internally with a PCI IDE controller card which will add 4 more IDE slots/ devices to your current 4 (in general).

    This is also assuming that your case has the required mounting brackets and space unless you don't mind leaving everything open. If you do not have the physical mounting space inside the case then you might consider getting external cases.

    If you could specifically ID the hard drives as well as your case we could search for the various features and options.

    Sorry for the delay, as for the case i will have to get another one to accomodate, the hard drives are seagate cheetah st118202lc
