Dvd Drive Will Not Work
Both My Dvd Rom And Dvd Rewriter Are Showing In The Bios But When Windows Starts It Is Not Showing Under Device Manager Or My Computer.
-
Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware and or software?
Assuming that both these drives are on the secondary IDE channel does that channel show in the Device Manager? If not you could try a new cable.

Yes It Is A New Problem . Secondary Ide Is Showing In Device Manager. No New Hardware Or Software Has Been Added.
-
The first few troubleshooting tests that I would try are:
1) Uninstall the Secondary IDE channel from the Device Manager and then reboot.
If that doesn't reset things:
2) Physically unplug the slave drive on the secondary channel and try again.
If that doesn't work:
3) Physically plug the Master cable end into the slave drive after changing the jumpers to Master or Cable Select.
If that doesn't work:
4) Try a new IDE cable.
