    Monitor plug

Can I change a monitor plug? I have a Dell Monitor with a bad plug. I want to cut the old one off and rewire a new one to it. What do you think?

You could always take it to a store and they might be able to do it for you if you dont think you can do it or after u do it it doesn't work.

The monitor works but the plug has one pin broken off and another one is bent. The colors are off. What is suppose to be white is now green. I thought changing the plug with the broken pins would help.

I know I can do it. I just wanted to know if it will work after I do it. I have never tried doing that before.

If there is anyone who has done this before I would like to talk to them. It would help me a great deal.

As long as you get each wire connected up to the right pin on the new plug, this is likely to solve your problem

Thanks, I will give it a try. I will let you know if it works. It may take me a few days to complete this task.
