Problem with computer
I recently purchased a new computer and had (after numerous problems) finaly got windows XP pro to load on my SATA hard drive. I then restarted the computer from the HD (for the first time) and i got the dreaded blue screen of death (BSOD). I then shut off the power and then turned it back on and all the fans came on and the CD rom would open and close but i got no picture on my monitor, no beeps, no nothing. Ive tried unhooking ALL the peripherals (including the hard drives) but to no avail. I am completly clueless as to how to figure out what the problem is. Any and all suggestions and ideas appreciated. Thanx.
Im running a P4 EE at 3.4 GHZ, with a Gigabyte GA-8KNXP motherboard, 2 GB ram (4X512) at dual channel, and a Mad-dog Conquerer FX5200 Plus Geforce FX PCI graphics card.

You may want to try this using the recovery console.

I would love to use the recovery console except that my computer doesnt start up. I get no memory test, no POST, no nothing. It wont even begin to start up... or at least i dont see anything on my monitor. The thing that confuses me is that this seems to have been brought on by software error (the afor mentioned blue screen of death) because it had started up fine up until that point... so i dont understand how my hardware could have been effected... at least not my motherboard or its components. Thats why im so perplexed as to how to go about troubleshooting this problem. I dont get any beep codes or anything... I have no idea what kind of problem would be the cause of this.
