Sounds likes there's a problem with the actual IDE channel from the mainboard, if you've had the problems in the past, unless like you and Owen suggested it could be the cable if its been the same one for a while.

Ok fellas, when I get a chance, that is, everyone else (i.e. siblings) is off the computer, I will try out your suggestions and give you an update.

Time for an update! I did what was said, no good. So, I got another regular CD-ROM Drive and tried that, and BEAUTY. That works. So I know it isn't the cable or anything within that area. So tomorrow I'm going to Staples to see if I can return the CD-RW Drive because it is faulty. If they won't take it, I'm contacting I/O Magic directly to get a drive that works. If you guys have any plans for after that, let me know whenever. If you have ideas before I do that, well, you'll have to get it on here or e-mail me before 9:00 AM Eastern Time tomorrow (Sunday, October 24) because I'm going to work and then right after I'm going to Staples. And that's all I have to say about that.

Ok, I did it. I went to Staples and exchanged the drive for another one of the same. I put it in and it works just fine. This thread is resolved.
