I tried searching, but found no relevant info.....
I am trying to use my Dell 15" flat screen monitor from my dimension package with a Gateway PC. Both PC's are about 1 1/2 to 2 years old and are using Windows XP. When I hooked up the Dell Monitor to the Gateway PC, the monitor displays the message
"Cannot display this video mode" and will do nothing but display that message. None of the monitor buttons do anything.
Is this a driver issue? Or a settings issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is a new one to me.
Thanks in advance!

See if this helps:
Cannot Display this Video Mode error on a flat panel LCD after reinstalling Windows XP.

After Microsoft Windows XP is reinstalled on a system that has a Flat Panel LCD monitor, you may receive the error message Cannot Display This Video Mode on a black screen. This is caused by the LCD monitor failing to auto sense the refresh rate of the display adapter.
To resolve this problem, turn off the monitor for 15 seconds. During the startup, the monitor will detect the input signal and will now function normally.
