I recently bought a pc and when i tried to play some music i got a "no hardware available" message. I tried to install drivers for it, but no joy. So I bought a new sound card, (the other one is on-board), and installed it. It played for a while (one day), then it started producing a horrible fuzzy sound when I tried to play any music, whether off cd or my hard drive. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the sound card and driver with no joy. I have disabled the on-board sound card via the BIOS, still no joy. Sometimes it plays well for about 20 mins then starts THAT sound again. Sometimes when I switch the the pc and off, it plays ok then starts the same problem again. I have tried checking for viruses. No joy!!!! Could it be a conflict of some sort? I have checked for red/yellow exclamation marks.......NO JOY!!!

Can anyone help!!! I am really at my wits end!!!!!!!

have you got any loose connections in the PC

I have tried assorted speakers including head phones with no difference. As far as I can see, there doesn't seem to be any loose connections anywhere. I'll check it again to make certain
