I have a Gateway computer with an Oxnard motherboard. Occasionally when I start the computer I get this message :"Reboot and select proper boot drive - insert boot media in selected boot device". If you click Cntl/Alt/Delete the computer will start.I downloaded a BIOS fix from the Gateway server and saved it to a floppy as recommended. However the instructions are to restart the computer with the floppy in the drive. My computer won't start with a floppy in the drive. Is there a way to get it to start with the floppy in the drive ??

Enter the BIOS and change the boot sequence to ensure floppy drive is first. Your PC will then reboot and look to the floppy disk before booting into Windows form the hard disk.
