To install Windows XP to a new folder (also known as a parallel installation)

Now I can only assume such a thing would take up a whole lot of space. How do I get rid of the installation when I'm sure it's a hardware problem?

Can I reflash my motherboard? I think the last flash may have caused some damage, I don't know.

As to re-flashing the BIOS I see no reason why not.

Is there a different BIOS version to try to flash with?

One more thing, I know that if two memory modules have the same timings, it can cause problems.

Look at this! Everest has shown that DIMM1 and DIMM4 have the same exact timings!

I also learned that the new RAM is in DIMM1. I thought it was in DIMM2 before I changed it again...

I have searched thru Google and can find no older versions.

I am not sure about the RAM timing issue. I see mine as listed the same.

As to the slots you should have a stick in every other slot.

Intel Desktop Boards D875PBZ, D865GBF, D865GLC, D865PERL
These boards have four DIMM sockets arranged as DIMM 0 and DIMM 1 in both Channel A and Channel B.

DIMM 0 in both A & B or DIMM 1 in both A & B

I currently have taken out the new RAM and put the old one in DIMM1. So far, no crashes and over an hour of gameplay.

I just got a BAD_POOL_HEADER. Debugger reveals it to be win32k.sys.

Just from Googling that error it is again all over the place. Anywhere from a driver to bad RAM or motherboard

I don't know how to decipher those stacks Captain but I know Joe does and I can only support his idea of last night. See if a parallel install of XP will run OK. If not then it's down to sorting the hardware piece by piece.

Well doesn't matter anymore. You can now lock this thread because my computer has died. To the point where it won't even turn on. Yes.

Just half an hour ago, I was reading articles about bad motherboards and PSUs. All of a sudden the computer freezes, completely freezes. First time it's EVER done that. I restart, computer won't respond. I restart 3 more times, computer still doesn't respon. I take out the battery and disconnect the PS from the mobo and wait a minute or two. I plug it back in, go to BIOS. As I'm setting the date, POOF! The BIOS menu just disappears, leaving a few words behind. It freezes. I restart again, computer doesn't respond. Again I clear the CMOS. I go to BIOS, moving through the tabs and options and HELLO! Freeze. I clear the CMOS again. This time I go rapidly through the BIOS and only disable onboard sound. I quickly exit. The POST runs but when the black screen with the blinking cursor appears, it just stays there. Cursor keeps blinking...blinking...blinking...

So there you have it, the official end of all my life's work, all my money, all my time, all my life.

Is there a repair shop I can take it to or can I just leave it in my room unplugged as a memorendum of the worst 2 months of my life before I commit suicide?
