Critical BSOD errors!

Re: Critical BSOD errors!
Computer temperatures are cool, I did a repair installation of XP a while back. I can't format Jephree. First of all, I'd lose everything. Second of all, I've read many articles and forums where people have had similar BSODs even after a format.
Diagnostic on hard drive? You mean chkdsk? It's never turned up any errors.

The Clean Install of XP would just be a test to verify that this is a hardware problem.
But my sense is that it is a hardware problem.
You can get a diagnostic for your hard drive from the manufacturer.
What is the make of your hard drive?

Read link, actually happened to read it a few hours ago...
One of the links provided in there was interesting to see as the person there was getting some of my BSODs...
He fixed it with a new...
Motherboard. I can't bend that way.

Since case is open I'll just stick my head in there...
Couldn't make out anything except for the fact that it is a Western Digital. Same info that Everest gave me.

Thanks, I guess I'll do a full scan.
Just another thing, could there be a problem with my PSU? RetailStar 465W, I read one of the threads and someone there said a PS could do this. When my 4-month old 350W Antec's fans both blew out, I bought the RetailStar and a day later the new RAM. So I can't rule out the PSU, can I?
I'm thinking it's a damaged motherboard though, great stuff.

PSU's can cause a lot of problems if they are defective or mis-matched to the board (voltages etc.)
I would check the hard drive. Eliminate one possibility at a time.

SMART status for extended test - Pass.
Hard disk is fine.

Have you checked all the links here:

There are a few that deal with the PSU.

I wish Joe Hobart would drop by just to sweep through some of the recent dumps. I bought this sound card last August, I don't think it should be damaged. If it is, I'm just too unlucky to own a computer, heh.
