Hi, I am a complete computer biff, my brother gave me his and it was working fine until the sprogs knocked into the side of the tower. Now the computer runs but doesn't appear to be connecting to the monitor. We've tested the monitor on another unit and it works, we'vechecked all the leads, they're fine. We've also tried changing the graphics card for another that we know is working. Don't know if I'm in the right place, but does anyone have any ideas? Pretty please?

Do you get any beeps or blinking lights on the Tower when it boots? How about the monitor thats connected to the tower, does it say anything or just stay blank (example would be says Signal? or Cable connected? or has a flashing green light vs. a yellow or orange light)

You say "We've also tried changing the graphics card for another that we know is working" but have taken your existing graphics card and put in it to an other PC, try that and post back.
