My HP laptop lid is loose - needs support or it either closes or flops back. Is it something I can fix (I'm not that computer savy but willing to try)?

I was going to ask the make and model of your laptop, but who are we fooling here? Best thing to do is take it into a laptop repair guy and have them take a look. I don't believe I have ever read anything that brings up the topic of "tension screws" for a laptop screen, or any type of adjustment. Even if there was, the chances of messing up the ribbon cable which runs your screen is too high to be poking around in there. This one needs some hands on by experts. I would take it to the shop and save yourself the hassle and time (and perhaps a laptop).

Thanks - I heard the samething from someone else so it looks like it off the the shop
