    What PSU for Tiny PC?

Hello, I am new to this forum and I think I'm goin' get a lot out of it.

I have been asked by a friend of a friend if I can fix fix a 5 year old Tiny PC which is used for internet and W/P only.

My understanding is a little while ago someone looked at it who advised the PSU was not working.

I have opened a couple of PCs but never a Tiny.

Am I right in thinking Tiny used a small form or micro ATX PSU but what one do I need, what wattage and where can I get one?

I have a spare standard 300w ATX psu, ( 20 pin connector), I know won't fit into case but could I just plug this on to the Tiny M/board, ( without doing any damage ), just to make sure the PC does boot up.
    Thankyou
    JB

The best way to ID and match the form factor would be to remove the old PSU. It should be labeled as to its' details.

Using the exterior PSU would be fine as long as the connectors fit.
