    Unhappy retrieving images???????????

    Hi everyone,
I'm still having problems with my CD/DVD drive!!!! But, fortunately it's still under warrenty. The laptop is going away this friday, to hopefully be repaired. The only thing which does worry me however, is the fact, that they cannot guarentee that all of the images which I currently have saved on the hard-drive will be there, when the laptop is returned to me!! (I have both Wedding & Family RAW and Tiff images saved on the HD).
Upon saying that, the other evening, I was managing to burn the Tiff images onto recordable DVD's. Whilst copying various folders across, I frequently kept returning to the DVD drive, to check that they were being saved to disc. Which indeed they were. But now when I put the DVD into it's drive, I'm unable to see any folders/images at all. Even though when you look at the disc, there have obviously been image transfers going on.
Any help with this would be gratefully appreciated.

    Kind Regards

    Dave

how many pictures etc have you got (size in GB), any chance of connecting an external hard drive through your USB port and transferring data that way?

    Hi,
I guess that'd be an option for the remaining images on the hard drive. But, how can I check the hopefully? saved images which should be on the DVD. As the originals have already been delated off of the hard-drive!

    Many Thanks

    Dave
