    Wi-fi Connection Loss

    Hi

I don’t know if anyone will be able to help with this but I am experiencing problems with my wireless networking and I have not been able to find anything similar mentioned on the net.

Basically I have a good ISP and in theory my internet should run absolutely fine, but every now and then my wireless just disconnects and stays disconnected, with my laptop no longer able to detect the network. The only way out of this is for me to switch off wireless networking then restart it, or restart the computer, in both cases I connect immediately. I have not been able to find any discernable pattern to these events, sometimes it happens frequently and sometimes not.

Has anyone ever experienced this themselves? Or got any tips as to how I could troubleshoot it?

    Thanks
    Daz

Just a hint - you need to mention some specs before receiving help! OS, CPU,...

Many WiFi drivers have a power saving mode. You might want to check your settings.

    Toshiba recommends this path:

The check box to enable/disable Power Saving Mode is found in the Advanced area of the Wireless LAN Utility.

Also view your Error Log via:
    [1] Start Menu
    [2] Help and Support
    [3] Pick a Task
    [4] Tools
    [5] Advanced System Information
    [6] View the Error Log
