...Graphics Card.

When I turn on the computer, and it boots into Windows XP Home Edition, the "Found New Hardware" icon appears in the system tray, and a message pops up that says the following:

"Found New Hardware
RADEON 9200 PRO Family (Microsoft Corporation)"

Then windows proceeds to freeze. I have tried the following on my own already:

1. disable onboard video card
2. uninstall onboard video card
3. remove other pci card (audio card)
4. boot into safe mode
5. manually configuring the IRQ's
6. running the ATI installation CD, however, it knows the card is not present.

all of these things came to the same result.

My hardware specifications:
1. Intel D915GLVG motherboard (http://www.intel.com/products/mother...glvg/index.htm)
2. Intel P4 3.06GHz CPU
3. 512MB DDR 400 RAM

4. 74GB WD Raptor HD (SATA)
5. 80GB WD Caviar HD (IDE)
6. LG CD Burner
7. Powercolor ATI Radeon 9250 256MB PCI Graphics Card
8. Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 SE PCI Audio Card

This motherboard has been challenging to say the least, the new SATA HD would not work unless the IDE HD was set as a slave on the IDE channel (as I understand this motherboard sets the IDE master as the primary HD even if there is a SATA HD present...this was a real pain in the arse when it came to installing windows xp home)

I'm currently using the above computer to place this post using the onboard video card, and with the (what the BIOS calls the "External PCI card") Radeon 9250 physically uninstalled from the last free PCI slot.

Any suggestions gang?
