Unhappy Ultra Speed CD-RW won't write in low speeds

I have an Ultra Speed CD-RW Drive, but it won't write to a 1-4x CD-RW! I can't even get to the recording tab to change the write speed. Any ideas? I need help seriously!!!!!!!!!!

Certain media will not allow certain speeds. There is a minimum limit as well as max.

Can you verify the minimum of your media.

My CD-RW's are capable of writing from 1x to 4x. I'm guessing the minimum is 1x. My drive is Ultra Speed.

Under Properties is the box checked which reads: Enable CD recording on this drive?

There is no "Enable CD Recording" check box! I know it's an RW Drive, it has the logo on the drive door!

If you right click the drive under My Computer then click Properties then open the Recording tab

    Don't you see this:

I can't find some of those tabs. I only have the following: General - Autoplay - Hardware - Sharing.

You can either use the "Manage Attachments" box under the post box (not Quick Reply)

or you load it onto your own picture server and then just link to it.

I use http://photobucket.com/ it is free.

This way you click on the yellow box with the mountain view on top there and then paste in the Photobucket URL.

I replied to your PM here because you do not have your options set to receive PM's so I could not send.

Anyway apparently your computer does not recognize this drive as a writable drive.

Is this a new drive? Did it ever work?

Oh, yeah - It's worked before when I was writing to High speed 52x(or maybe 48x) CD-RWs. For reference, they were Memorex disks. By the way, I'll change my PM to be able to receive.
