I have a compaq pc that wont start.We were hooking up a second internal harddrive.When we rebooted the pc it gave those wonderful windows beeps.Then proceeded to not start.I get a green light on motherboard and a flashing red light on tower.No fans turning now either altho they did when we first tried rebooting it..Thanks for any help on if i should just RIP this pc or figure out how to fix it.

now you've got no CPU fan working, do you still have a green light on the motherboard?

No fans running now....and yes green light is on ,on the motherboard...beeps were...3 beeps..thankx

3 beeps is normally memory problems.

were you careful with static when you were inside the machine?

Check all your connections from the power supply to the motherboard.
