HP deskjet 960c - print quality problems!

    Hiya,

I'm new here, and I REALLY need some help..

My printer seems to be printing a blue shadow on any text I try and print... and colour pages are really blurred with this blue "shadow"

I've tried EVERYTHING I can think of: re-installing cartridges, buying new ones, calibrating, cleaning, re-aligning and I've installed new driver and updated software and nothing works....

I'm trying desperately to print out my wedding invites, and I don't know what else to do... please can anyone help??

    Thanks

    Ez

First, try a different program to print. Your program may be printing the shadow. Check the printer entirely and make sure there are no short circuits on the cradle holding the ink cartridges. After, I think you should check it and get it fixed. If that doesn't work, your printer is fried.

You mention invites, what sort of paper is it you are trying to print on? Some specialty paper will not print well on some printers as it can allow colour bleed around the letters.
Try printing with plain paper just to rule this out.
