    Loud Noises

    lolol sorry.

So like, my computer keeps making this really loud noise. Like when I leave it on more than like an hour or two, and if I restart it less than like ten minutes after I shut it down.

It's happened like once a long time ago, but since Sunday it's been happening ever day.
Kinda sounds like a car engine?

Pretty sure it's not a virus, because I did all sorts of scans.
Then again, I don't know how to use computers.

    Please help, it scares me ;_;

About the only things moving in there are fans and hard drives.

Does the computer work OK otherwise?

Have you ever opened the case? Are you comfortable doing that?

Does the sound go away? If not what happens? Does the computer freeze? Shut itself off?

Is it like a clicking or more like a rattling? Or can you think of a more descriptive word?

It sounds kind of like a "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"
    Definately not a rattle.

Everything works fine, it's just the noise, and it stays until I shut down.
I don't even know how to open the computer.

It could be dust inside the PC.

Is the PC a tower or a desktop?

    have a look here

I cleaned the inside, and both fans. The noise if coming from inside the powersupply box.
The fan is working. So what now?

Are you sure that it is not the fan/s on the PSU?

Are there two fans or one? Perhaps front and back?

If the fans are OK you might start looking for a new PSU. Is this one very old?

    It's about two years old.
I don't really have any money to have it looked at, so I don't know what to do. The fan is still running normally. It's coming from the other side.

I wish I could hear it. Is it really as loud as a car or? Some Power Supply Units are known to be noisy but not like that

It would be helpful in searching if you could find the make and model. There should be a label on the case.

A quick test of the PSU fan failing would be the amount of heat you feel coming out of the back of the computer. If the fan is still spinning, but not spinning fast enough, you will get a very hot light breeze out the back. If the fan is spinning fast enough but is rubbing on some mettal, you will feel a cool breeze coming out to the back of the computer but a large vibration from that area.

Cheap PSUs (not saying you have one) can fail with a burned up fan in as little as 6 weeks.
