Re: not sure if this is a hardware software or what problem but need help
To all;
If the CDROM's and DVD's are ATAPI/IDE drives, this bootdisk should get it going.
Download the file to your hard disk, put a floppy disk in the A: drive, and run the file. It will take a couple of minutes as this image file;
1) Formats the floppy
2) Writes the files to the floppy
3) Verifies the file write as correct.
Ensure the bios is set for the floppy as the first boot device.
The drive letter assigned to the drive will be listed near the end of the boot. It will be one letter up from what the drive normally is.
Post back if still no luck. Also post the make and model number of the CDROM or DVD drive.

I posted to this thread to let Campo know that he was not alone in his search for information on finding compatible drivers for his cd-rom. I have since learned to keep my problem on my own thread which I just bumped."Invalid Disk Replace and Hit Any Key"
Sorry for the confusion Dan, my cd-rom make and model is posted there.
To Campo - If I find a solution, I will quickly quote it here for you...
Thanks again for all of the help so far.!.!.
