Brightness/contrast adjustment missing?
I just picked up an LG CS990DC monitor on eBay. It's bigger and has a higher resolution than my old 15" monitor. But when I try to adjust it, there's no contrast or brightness controls anywhere! I can play with the built-in menu to stretch or distort the display, move it around on the screen, and adjust each of the colours independently. But it's still too dark, and the contrast is too high, and there's not much I can do about it.
I'm running a Radeon 9800 Pro video card and I can adjust the brightness settings from that, but not for all applications - it's a workaround rather than a solution.
I can't find a manual online, my PC insists it already has the latest driver (a generic PnP driver for XP) and I'm getting really frustrated. Any help is most welcome, such as telling me where the brightness/contrast buttons have been hidden.

Doh! Found them now - they're manually adjusted knobs mounted under the fascia. Why they couldn't be included in the menu options is anybody's guess.
