Hi All,
new to forum. I've searched previous posts and cant find a similiar problem so I'm getting really worried.
about 5 seconds after booting my computer it powers down.
I have disconnected all the drives and PCI cards to see if I can isolate the problem but even with only mboard and CPU connected the same thing happens. All fans start as I boot up so it cant be overheating..or is it...............please help

how hot does the CPU Heatsink get during boot up? Your CPU is not fried, yet, otherwise you wouldnt get the shutdown so quickly.
