I can't get my Acer laptop to run properly. Even when I do a complete reinstall of the system disc that came with it, it freezes before I can get all the window updates on it.

I get this error:- there is a problem with the consistency of drive "C"
Volume label invalid.

Any help appreciated.

In general it sounds like a failing hard drive.

jephree thanks but I remembered the tools section of the drive and ran the search and repair and it has fixed my problem.
