Hi,
I have just set up a brand new Windows XP pc, with the above mentioned all-in-one HP printer, for my mother-in-law.
It came with Works and when she printed a document it only prints every other line. I proved this by re-jigging her text so it was on every other line and that was the only way it would print the whole letter. Preview looks fine, though.

Has anyone any ideas on this?

Does the printer work OK outside of Works?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

The photocopy function of the printer works fine, otherwise it has not been used much yet - other than for printing "graphics" created by my kids!

I will check out the bi-directional printing, thanks. My gut feeling, especially after reading the other thread, is that it is a driver issue...

In resolution of this issue....
Set up identical printer at home and it was fine. Swapped in MIL's printer and still had problem, hence problem was with printer. Took it back to Comet who swapped it over without any hassle (well, I did take examples of the good printer and the bad printer, so had proof) and MIL now has a working printer!
