Monitor just died
Hi, hopefully someone can help. Yesterday I turned my computer on and it all seemed to work fine, I logged in ok (Windows XP Home), so the mouse was working. After a little while neither the mouse or the keyboard worked, so I rebooted the computer. Since then nothing comes up on the monitor (yes it is switched on). The fans inside my computer are both working, so the power is ok. I have read a couple of other threads on here and other sites, but none of them mention about having the problem of the mouse and keyboard not working. Does this mean my mother board has died? Or my monitor died?
Any help would be most appreciated.

flashing bios may help. search on google for instructions

Hey,
About the previous advice -
a. Flashing the BIOS is not for the fainthearted and is equally not a solution to your problem - it is not indicative of the symptoms you have described.
b. You cannot flash the bios if you cannot get display!
I think it sounds like your MB has died, or something on it,
I suggest disconnecting all unnecessary things like Sound card, all drives and only leaving video entact. Plug mouse, keyboard and monitor in and see if you get a picture - if not its likely the MB or Video Card (by the sounds of you mouse/keyboard freezing - most likely MB has gone - if you get a display - then owrk backwards by elimination.
