Ok. I did the test and I was good till it got about 80% through. It gave me a bunch of error messages in test 8 at 8 different addresses at above 423.3 MB. All on channel one. I am going to test each piece individauly later. Everything is good except for that.

Ah Hah! ;>)
As I stated earlier, when you're working with the RAM modules remove and insert them a couple of times to help clean off any tarnish/dust from the contacts.

Ok. All RAM is tested individualy and in pairs and these are my results.
Both - errors on test 8
1st stick - pass 25 tests (I let it go all night)
2nd stick - pass 26 tests (all day)
Both again - errors on test 8
I am running fine on 512 right now. The dual channel seems to be screwing things up. I cleaned the contacts as you advised. I throughly tested the RAM. Any suggestions?

I am by no means a memory guru. What I know about memory you could probably fit into a thimble but......
Are there adjustable parameters in the motherboards bios for the dual channel memory? (ie; Can you turn it off so both modules may be used?)
Are the memory modules the correct architecture for this motherboard?
If you don't have the documentation for your hardware, this program Everest Home Edition (clean freeware) will tell you pretty well everything about all your system hardware. It provides links to the various hardware manufacturers for things like chipset drivers, manuals, etc. It's a good tool to have as it's getting harder to find for download.

No adjustable parameters. I'll use the program.
