I have a Pioneer DVR-109 DVD drive in my computer and I recently bought a some DVD's with Region 1 format on them, and to play them I had to change the region on the DVD player, but I also play region 4 DVD's on the same DVD drive, so I have to change the DVD player region back, the problem is that the DVD drive only allows 4 changes between regions and then it locks the region. I was wonderin 2 things, 1) Why do the manufactuers do that?
and 2) is there a way to stop the regions being locked?
This would really help as I play numerous regions on this DVD player. Thanks.
