DVD Drive not working after Gfx card & PSU change

Hi everyone, the other week I installed a new gfx card into my machine as well as a new PSU to run it. Everything went fine and every wire is where it should be (I've checked 5 times now!) but my DVD drive is no longer being recognised properly by the pc. It's getting power as the busy light on the front is permanently on but I can't open the drive or locate it in the My Computer folder and in the Device Manager it is showing up as Generic DVD-ROM SCSI CD-ROM Device. Trust me, it is definately a DVD-RW so I don't know what's going on with it. As I said, all the wires, leads, jumpers etc are in the correct place and order but when the pc boots up, it displays a message saying that Secondary Drive 1 Could not be found, press F1 to continue or F2 to enter setup. In setup, it's just reading the secondary drive as Unknown Device

    The PSU=400W
The Graphics card is a Geforce 6800xt
I'm not sure of the DVD Drive make as it came ready installed on the Dell pc it's sat in. I'm currently running Windows XP SP2

Hope you can help me, I'm desperate, most of the stuff I have for my pc is on DVD

    Thanks in advance

PS, just used the DAL scanner, here's the results, hope they help!

Okay, so nobody seems able to help me. I've asked a few techie friends here too and they can't help. Could it be that I've discovered a brand new malfunction? I'm hoping not!!

Anyway, I've read somewhere that it may be a driver problem. How would I go about finding new drivers for my DVD drive and installing them? I don't recall getting any with the pc....
