I'm trying to install a network card on a windows NT 4.0 system (very old).
When I try to install the card, I give the location of the drivers and then it tells me it cant find the card. Any suggestions?

Its a 3com Fast Etherlink XL 3c905-T4 PCI card.

Is the card in a Master PCI slot?

I haven't a clue. Probably not though. I've tried it in a couple of PCI slots.

Many (PCI) NIC cards have to be in a master slot. The manual for your motherboard should outline which slots are master.

You can download the image files for DOS diagnostic tools for this card here. Try the diagnostics and post the results.

I'll try that as soon as I can. Its for a PC in work though and I won't be in work for another couple of weeks. I'll post the results when I try it.
