I powered up my Packard Bell AMD Athlon PC today and the DVD-RW Drive has disappeared from the system (I mean its still there physically but all short cuts and links to it say that it doesn't exist). Any ideas what I can do?

What is your Operating System?

Is it listed under the Device Manager?

If yes & XP uninstall it from the DM & reboot.

The System should find it as New Hardware.
