    New Overheating processor

Ok this is the problem i have never experienced this b4. I recently moved out of a house that had no air, my computer was overheating there so i put a real fan on top of the airflow grate on the top of the tower to keep it cool. Now after i have moved into a house that has air not to mention it is winter time. it still overheats when playing games or anything that is cpu intensive. It never did this b4 in the house i had air in. so i am wondering what coulda happened and can it be fixed.

If not under warranty, have you opened the tower and inspected/cleaned the dust etc from all fans, heatsinks, power supply and case vents?

Is the CPU fan spinning well, or does it seem slow?

Is this a proprietary system (ie; Dell, Compac, HP, Gateway, IBM/Lenovo, etc) or a generic built?

I built this computer myself i will check inside the puter later today but the fan is running at almost 7000 rpms but i will look into it.
