I recently had to shut my laptop down after a lock up with MSN messenger (not sure if this is part of the cause). Now when I press the on switch my PC doesnt do anything.
Any ideas? Please

The power light comes on. The computer also beeps a few times and the cd drive light comes on but thats it.Originally Posted by jephree

The beep pattern should point to the problem. Check your manual for BIOS Beep codes.
If no manual it is probably online. What is the exact make & model # etc.?
