I have a problem with my other pc. It is a Chaintech mobo with phoenix bois on it. When i go to boot up using the graphic card on the mobo i dont get and thing on the screen it doesnt even turn green it stays amber. I put and nVidia TNT2 in the AGP slot on tried to run it that way and still nothing... If someone could please help i would be in debt to you.
Yea i have a new motherboard that i have just bought today its a JetWay V2DP runnin a AMD XP 2100+ but the only problem i seem to be having is my monitor is not responding hooked up to the onboard VGA nor the AGP slot nor a PCI slot. the AGP graphics card i have is a nVidia TNT2 32MB the PCI card is a Diamond Stealth Pro. If someone could please help me figure out the problem ill be happy. Also the monitor is a Compaq V70.
When you tried the onboard were the cards removed?
If not I would try that first.
Yes i tried that first because the on-board is better than both the cards i have lol.
& you receive no signal? No error on screen? No beeps from board?
Are the fans working? The power LED's?
black screen still orange light no beeps sounds like everything is starting up like normal but nothing on the screen.
I know this is basic stuff but anyway JetWay says this:
http://www.jetway.com.tw/evisn/index.htmlIf monitor does not receive signal (The indicating light in front of monitor is amber, did not turn to green).
1.Shut down computer power.
2.Make sure you have properly connected VGA card's connector and its power cord.
3.Make sure your monitor switch is turn on, and its brightness & contrast are in correct position.
There is more detail at the above site but no direct linking.
Are you sure that the RAM & CPU are compatible?
Try booting without the RAM. Any Beeps?
just made sure they are compatiable and they are i have 2 128 ddr/dimm 184 pinn and there are no beeps when the comp starts up with no stick in.
you wouldnt happen to have yahoo or msn to use IM would you?
I cannot find the online manual for that particular model.
What I would wonder is if all the power connections are proper.
There would be the main and the 4 pin ATX at least?
Very strange that the board won't beep.
There will probably be more advanced hardware guys about tomorrow with other ideas.![]()
