    Angry HP Booting Problem

I am Having a problem with my frineds computer, its an HP, i'm not sure what kind it is but its a newer HP, it's the one with the blue light for the button to turn it on. Anyway, I believe its some kind of hardware problem. When I turn it on it turns on for about a second then shuts off again then turns on again....etc, all by it self. I tried reseating the prosseser and the ram, but still no luck. I also tried reseating all the power cables thinking it might be a power supply problem. Again sorry I don't know the exact specs on the comp. but I would just like some ideas to try.

    Thanx

The HP model number/info etc would help.

Does the CPU fan run well, or does it seem slow?

Have any screws/metal become wedged between the motherboard and the chassis?

A failing or incompatable component can cause HP's to not POST. (Boot) See my related posting (#8) on troubleshooting "No POST" here.

Post back with your results or any questions.
