Ok, I have a Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family inorder to run my games...
It runs most games okish, however when I check how much memory its using it always does the minium it can possbily have to run the application. I check the intel site but they are very vague about it. However they keep banging on about this thing called DMVT which is the OS telling the Chipset how much memory it wants it to use.
And theres the problem, for example I used to play CS: Source but recently couldn't because of this new PC. However I looked at how much memory it was using while I was playing (at 10 FPS lol)and it was 27 MB.
Is there a way to change the minium it uses to 128MB!?
Please help!

Already tried as it says in the post, it doesn't actually say how to change it. I also looked in the manuel for my computer, nothing.
There should be a setting in the BIOS to set Video RAM allowance.
Are you familiar with entering your BIOS settings?

Perhaps I should install a newer version of the BIOS?
The only settings within Windows that I am familiar with in XP:
Right Click My Computer then click Properties then Advanced then Performance Settings then Advanced
You might try changing to
Processor scheduling > Background services
Memory usage > System cache
Virtual Memory | Change
System managed size (or Custom size more)
I doubt that a newer BIOS would actually add any options but it is possible.
Do you know the exact ID of the motherboard?
Not at the moment but I'll check and post it tomorrow.
And looked at them, didn't seem to work....![]()
