i have a compaq presario 5330 with 768 mb ram and a 1.7 cpu with 200 gigs of hrad disk 128 vidio card i just got a 3.06gh celeron 478 pin and its not working i was wondering if it was to big for my pc to handle? and what is the biggist i can go?

Searching: I do not see any 5330 with more than 1.7. The Compaq site lists no upgrades for the CPU.

I would guess that the board cannot handle that CPU. If there were any chance you would need the latest BIOS.
