My old computer has stoped working. Can I use the hard drive on another computer. If yes ,how do I make this work. step by step instuctions would help

Assuming that the hard drive is not the problem of the computer not working you can install it in another computer as a slave drive in order to access the data.

Most computers have bays for two hard drives. The manual for the particular computer should have info on installation. Basically you just physically install the drive; set the jumpers on the drives as master/slave & attach the ribbon cable.
