i found an old 1.2 ghz computer and i have 2 diferent power suplys

i have one 160 watt one (came with the computer)
and i have a 350 watt one

the bios sez thay run at

vcore: 1.4v | 1.4v
+3.3: 3.2v | 3.2v
+5: 5.0v | 5.0v
+12: 12.5v | 12.6v
-12: 12.3v | 11.7

the 350 was runing in a 1.3 but i am not happy about the 11.7v

which one should i use?

are they both ATX power supplies? did the 160 watt on do the job?


+3.3: 3.2v | 3.2v (orange) runs the system memory and AGP card
+5: 5.0v | 5.0v (red) Runs the motherboard
+12: 12.5v | 12.6v (yellow) runs the disc drive motors
-12: 12.3v | 11.7 (Blue) earlier types of serial port circuits

also you should have

-5 v (white) ISA bus cards
0v (black) ground

you can try the 350 if it will fit

thay are both atx and the 160 w was the one that came in it when it was bought



and this bord duznt have isa

so the 11v rail means nuthing and the 350 is the better choice?

meny people tell me not to run the 350 becouse the rail is only running at 11.7 v
but the 160 will burn out sooner becouse it is runing closer to its max
