Monitor VGA cable issues
I have an LCD monitor and one of the pins of the VGA cable bent and then went inside the actual VGA connector, so now when i use the monitor the screen is blue. I bought a replacement VGA cable from pc world but I have no idea how to replace it. I was told that it can be replaced but I don't know how to open up the monitor to do so.
Thanks.

What is the make & model of the monitor?
On mine there is a removable panel on the rear of the base where the cable enters.
You just pop that off. Mine has like finger indentations to press.

I can't find the model, but it's a CTX lcd monitor, i unscrewed most the screwes on the back but it wouldnt open up, so i dont know what to do

Look under the Device Manager | Monitor
Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc
Or here:

Unfortunately they offer no details on removing the cable. I do see that they recommend removing the base for shipping.
Where does the cable enter the base? Do you not see a removable panel around that area?
-
no, the back of the monitor looks entirely like one piece, and i removed all the screws and i couldnt get it off, i can take a photo of it tomorrow or something and post it up

It should be on the base. Not the monitor itself. Does the picture in the above link match your monitor? Doesn't the cable enter the bottom of the base? Is there no back panel on the base? (As opposed to the monitor)?
-
Ooooh right, the base is removable, but the cable is going into the back of the monitor, not the base.

Analog Video Input: 15 Pin D-Sub
Could the connector be right on the back there or does the cable actually enter the monitor?
The cable will not just unplug from the back?
Or maybe removing the base would show the connection?
Sorry: just thinking out loud here
I would really doubt that you would need to open the monitor.
I would really think that this would be an easy operation.
