i dont know whats wrong with my pc because all the plugs have been checked and plugged in, but when i turn it on, i can hear it booting up, but nothing on the moniter and then the pc wont turn off when i push the button so i have to turn it off at the mains.

Please help it will be greatly appreciated

Does it go through the POST? You may have a bad p/s. Does the fan turn on the p/s? Is your monitor really on??? power light??? Do you have the cable connected properly to the back of the pc (into the video card)? If that is ok...and if you aren't afraid to go inside the pc you need to disconnect all the power to the hd, cd, etc (with the power off). Just keep power to the mother board. Then turn it on. Check the cards...are the seated ok. Check the memory? It is hard to say unless you know it has gone all the way through the POST. At work it seems that the most vulnerable part of the pc these days is the p/w. Hope that gives you some clues.

I Kinda Had The Same Issue Theres A Couple Things You Can Do Youcan Reboot Your System Press F8 Upon Seeing Your Computer Name Then Get On In Safe Mode And Go To Restore And Restore To Before Your Graphic Driver Got Corrupted Of Erased Or In Safe Mode Window It Will Ask You If You Want To Go To A Previous Good Settting Tthis One Is Chanecy I Tried It The System Thinks Its Ok But The Video Does Not Display.
