I have been given a Gateway monitor and the Graphics card that went with it.
When I installed the card and connected everything up, it worked fine.
I switched off, and since then, everytime I have started up, the monitor stays in standby mode.
My motherboard is Asus A77N266-VM ACP1 BIOS REV 1005.
My knowledge of computers is very basic, so please do not get to technical.

if you turn the monitor off then on again does it show a picture?

No, nothing happens

I have been given a Gateway FPD Monitor and thwe graphics card that went with it.When I first installed it, everything worked fine.After switching off, and going back to it later, the monitor stays in standby mode, and will not switch on.
My motherboard is ASUS A7N266 - VM ACPI BIOS REV 1005 ( I'm not sure if this helps )
My knowledge of computers if very basic, so please keep any reply the same.
