What scanner is best for me
I use W98 haVe 126 MB RAM AND A 13 gb hd.
My Scanner of over 11 years is going bad little by little, I have used it alot. so I got my moneys worth out of it. It cost me 100 dollars and gave great scans. I want the best scanner out there, but some say I have to worry about over taxing the resources. I want a scanner that can do slides , picture cards, and give the best quality scan available. I would appreciate any input in this matter. That way when I get my scanner I will be totally satisfied. Also I have older 3x5 pics that I would love to scan and make cleared, Some scanners have a lense in them to do this. A basic tutorial on scanner might be helpful, as I am week in this area.

I use W98 have 126MB Ram and have 13 GB in hard Drive Space. My 11 year old scanner is slowly dying. I will need a new one fairly soon. I have a E-mail ministry and a newsletter I put out. I scan pictures and other things for these. I want the best scanner out there, but was told that this will tax my resources. I want to scan slides. picture disks as well. I am not that verse in scanners, nad any help would be appreciated. Also I have old 3x5 photos that I want to scan. I was told some scanners have lenses in them to give even better scans. I appreciate any help that you can give me. Feel free to e-mail me your advice.

Sorry for multiple replies. It is hot humid and bad allergy day. New to this site did not seem to be taking my question. Once again sorry

I have merged your three seperate threads into one.
As far as a scanner, I have used a mustek, HP, Lexmark, and a Visioneer. Neither were any better than the other when you adjust the bit density.
