I was on the puter the other day and my monitor went black and the monitor light went orange. I clicked it off and then on again. The light wouldn't come on and the monitor stayed black. I got a monitor from my son in law and connected it. Everything is fine. His monitor worked right away.

When I plug mine in, you can hear an audible click inside it, but that's it. Nothing else happens. I tried this with it connected to the cpu and just plugged into the wall outlet. Nothing. What could the problem be? Does anyone know.

I concur with brain damage. Most reputable repair centers will generally provide a free estimate on device repair based upon the failure symptoms. The monitor is one of the most expensive peripherals, so a repair ~might~ be justified.

Depends on the Size and Make...a 17inch is just as cheap to replace as repair for most name brands. Larger, I would advise repair, smaller I would advise replace.
